Public Health Thank You Day is November 22, and Harrisburg University would like to acknowledge and thank all public health workers for their dedication to protecting the health of everyone and their communities.
Public Health Thank You Day is especially meaningful during the COVID-19 pandemic. Public health workers have put their communities first and worked tirelessly to keep us safe throughout this deadly pandemic.
Public health workers play a critical role in saving lives, and during the last century their efforts have increased the average life expectancy from 47 in 1900 to 79 in 2020, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
Knowing the critical importance of public health and the growing need for qualified healthcare workers, Harrisburg University offers several healthcare graduate degree programs that include:
- RN to BSN in Nursing.
- Master of Science in Nursing.
- Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
- Master of Science in Healthcare Informatics.
- Certificate program in Population Health Management.
