Frances Quinones, PMP, CSM, CMMI Associate Corporate Faculty (Project Management)
Prof. Fran Quinones has almost 20 years in the Project Management field. Prof. Quinones received a Masters in Computer Science from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey. In addition, she earned a Bachelor of Arts from San Diego State University in Political Science, graduating Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. In 2006, she was the recipient of the Hispanic Engineer National Achievement Award for Professional Achievement.
In the corporate world, Prof. Quinones is a Business Process Engineering Principal Consultant for Cabrillo Technologies supporting the Department of Defense. She was previously the Executive Director of Programs for Xerox Services. In this capacity, she established a process policy for Xerox Services lines of business. Prior to Xerox, she managed defense contracts up to $450M for both defense and local government customers. She is a certified CSM, PMP, DAWIA Level 2 and CMMI Associate. She is the Course Lead for Project Management Offices.
Teaching and Research Interests:
Prof. Quinones is very interested in talking about the value of Project Management Offices and study its evolution with the inclusion of Agile methodology.
