Directions and Parking

Harrisburg University’s Academic Center is located at 326 Market Street. There are entrances along Market Street and an entrance along Fourth Street. The Admissions Office is located on the ground floor in the Academic Center. The ground floor also houses Financial Aid, Registration, and Graduate Admissions. Call the University Security Desk at 717-901-5180 if you need assistance.

Floors 1 and P3 thru P9 are open public access floors and you can access those floors from any elevator kiosk in the garage or building. Floors 2 and 10 thru 14 are not public access and require a Harrisburg University keycard to gain access. If you are visiting the University, please check in with the Security Desk on Floor 1.

From York, Baltimore and Washington, D.C.
Take I-83 North to Harrisburg. Take the 2nd Street exit. Follow 2nd Street to Market. Turn right on Market. Follow Market Street to Fourth Street to use the Standard Parking Authority operated lot within the Academic Center. Turn left on Fourth Street. Entrance to the parking lot is on left.

From Lancaster
Take PA 283 West to I-283 North. From I-283 North exit left to I-83 South. Take the 2nd Street exit. Follow 2nd Street to Market Street. Turn right on Market. Follow Market Street to Fourth Street. Turn left on Fourth Street to use the Standard Parking Authority operated lot within the Academic Center. Entrance to the parking lot is on left.

From Northern Pennsylvania
Take I- 81 South to I-83 South to Harrisburg. Take the 2nd Street Exit. Follow 2nd Street to Market Street. Turn right on Market. Follow Market Street to Fourth Street. Turn left on Fourth Street to use the Standard Parking Authority operated lot within the Academic Center. Entrance to the parking lot is on left.

From Eastern or Western Pennsylvania
Take PA Turnpike to Harrisburg Exit 247. Take I-283 North to I-83 South. Take the 2nd Street exit. Follow 2nd Street to Market. Turn right on Market. Follow Market Street to Fourth Street. Turn left on Fourth Street to use the Standard Parking Authority operated lot within the Academic Center. Entrance to the parking lot is on left.

Parking Information

Standard Parking operates a garage within Harrisburg University’s building. It is accessible from 4th Street. The garage is fully automated and there is a credit-card payment machine on the first floor and at the gate.

If you are using the Standard Parking Authority operated lot within the Academic Center, please take the elevator to Floor 1 and check in with the Security Desk. You will need to enter floor number “1” at the kiosk adjacent to the elevators; there are no buttons inside the elevator cars. The kiosk will direct you to the appropriate elevator car.

Parking Garage Hourly Rates

Meter parking is in effect 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday through Saturday in some parts of downtown Harrisburg, and 8 a.m.–7 p.m. in Midtown. There is no charge for meter parking on Sunday and major holidays, which include New Year’s Day, MLK Day, President’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving, Friday following Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas.

For additional parking information, call Standard Parking at 717-255-3099 or visit them online. For emergencies or issues related to the parking garage contact 717-238-0496. The University can not validate for any parking in the garage.

Parking for vehicles with a height above 7 feet, 2 inches (SUVs, trucks with racks, and vehicle lift kits) is limited to P-3.

This includes external suppliers working on behalf of the organization.  Data Privacy Day is an international event that occurs every year on 28 January. The purpose of Data Privacy Day is to raise awareness and promote privacy and data protection best practices. Data Privacy Day’s educational initiative originally focused on raising awareness among businesses as well as users about the importance of protecting the privacy of their personal information online, particularly in the context of social networking. The educational focus has expanded over the years to include families, consumers and businesses. In addition to its educational initiative, Data Privacy Day promotes events and activities that stimulate the development of technology tools that promote individual control over personally identifiable information; encourage compliance with privacy laws and regulations; and create dialogues among stakeholders interested in advancing data protection and privacy.  Organizers of the event seek subject matter experts in data privacy to serve as panelists or provide presentations that align with the below topics. Both panels and presentations are scheduled for 30 – 45 minutes in length and include Q & A for participants.  Data Privacy Impact Assessments- Build a Roadmap for Action- Possibly Using a Case Study Such as a Data Privacy Assessment for an Organization’s Virtual Workforce.
